Too many ppl hate on Edgar for not finishing fights but don't realize he gives up a lot of size to his opponents. I'm really hoping they bring Alvarez into the ufc, he's pretty much a bigger Frankie Edgar imo and would pose some problems for the lw division.

i dont think gsp is the type to throw petty comments around, minus the "im not imprezed by your performance" from years ago, i think he gave an educated assessment based on the pound for pound criteria which may not be the same as him answering who is the greatest or who is the most dominant if he didnt respect JJ or spider he wouldnt have given them the #2 and 3 spotted respectively, hell he didnt even mention himself hes such a class act
Bj has always been my fav but one could make the arguement that edgar has had even more success(wins) than bj at fighting guys bigger and stronger than him, and if anderson can admire that about bjpenn then i think gsp has a right to give credit to edgar where credit is due

He is not saying Aldo is going to be the p4p king. He is absolutely correct. It is obvious that you are the one on somebody's sack.
If you're going with the logic Georges used to put Frankie at #1--it's not consistent throughout his ranking, but whatever--it wouldn't matter if he loses to Aldo or not, because Edgar is still giving up size to a highly skilled opponent.

So no, I wouldn't say he's absolutely anything, other than opinionated like the rest of us.

Frankie has received beatings from many of men, but he is the only one to come back stronger, faster and better everytime. That is why he is considered one of the P4P best.
When has Aldo EVER fought a man larger than him? MUCH larger than him at that?
Slowly step down from the sack and step into reality. Give credit where its due.

Seriously, Frankie is the only one that comes back better, stronger and faster after all his losses? You can't honestly believe that. It's pretty common for fighters to go through huge growth in skill, work ethic, athleticism after losses.

When someone loses 3 fights in a row to champions in two different weight divisions... there is no way in hell that they can be the number one pound for pound fighter. Hahaha.

    #1 P4P doesn't lose two fights in a row.

Anderson Silva would agree with GSP and hopefully GSP will have no problem backing up that statement.
