And this is the guy that's gonna beat GSP? Riiight
Being the number 1 contender has nothing to do with if you actually have a chance to beat the champion. It has to do what is needed to be the number 1 contender. Hendricks has earned his shot and even though he will probably lose to GSP, you can't deny he doesn't deserve his chance.

    Also, congrats on the marriage.

I don't believe GSP has the chin quality CC has. If Lil' Jon Jon connects in that manner GSP will be in sleepy time. This is a bad matchup for him. If GSP can get it to the third round his cardio will take over the fight.

The GSP v Diaz fight played out just as I stated it would, actually as most said it would. This fight is more intriguing and I have greater anticipation for it.
Haha I'm sorry sir, MR. it is
I am also extremely happy JH gets his shot . I am a huge Condit fan but Johnny deserved it before this weekend and as much as i like Carlos I wanted Johnny to get his shot. I was slightly worried Dana would pull some shit like making him fight Jake E. first . And yes if Georges eats one of those shots CC did he will be asleep.

It's been a while since there has been a #1 contender as deserving as Hendricks. JDS was the last one.

It's even sweeter when it happens nowadays. You don't see many clear cut contenders get title shots.

This is a really challenging dangerous fight for GSP, because Hendricks has such awesome power and wrestling prowess. HOWEVER, I still see too many holes in Hendricks' grappling and technical striking to predict him to beat GSP. GSP's grappling is probably top three in MMA and his striking from the periphery will give Hendricks a lot of different looks, that I don't think will be good for Hendricks.

Hendricks has a tremendous chance, but his forward charging attack leaves him wide open for the power double of GSP and from what he's cutting down from, I think Hendricks will have a tough go in a five rounder.

I think GSP puts him on his back, keeps him on his back for 25 minutes and uses his superior GNP and BJJ(which I think will be a very scary thing for Hendricks) en route to another 50-45 night.

For me, there are too many areas where GSP is technically superior and just has the edge, be it his utilization of reach and jab or his grappling dominance, I think Hendricks just gets picked apart if this gets past the first two rounds.

I am not imprezed by Hendricks performance. Wrestlers dont like to be put on their backs and thats exactly where hes going. Mr 4-time all-american is going to learn what it means to be Canadian real soon
