Same here but I think Melvin has to win this one.
there is a special place in my heart for fighters that i truly dislike. Right below that place is reserved for Mac Danzig. Maybe it's his face, maybe it's the vegan thing. I hope Melvin destroys him
Don't really like Danzig (he's got a bit of a CB Dollaway face in my opinion) and I've always had a soft spot for Melvin. If Danzig can't take Guillard down then on paper at least he should get KO'd.
But Guillard also has a bad habit of taking seemingly overmatched opponents lightly, so it should be interesting. Both guys are realistically fighting to avoid pink slips, so it has the potential to be entertaining as hell.
I'll take Melvin here. Mac is a good fighter, but he doesn't really respond very well when the going gets tough imo (reminds me of someone else lol). Also, he just isn't very quick and likes to throw his punches from in close, where it will be much easier for Guillard to tag him. Melvin can be inconsistent, but with him needing a win pretty badly here, I'll take him to get it done by knockout.
I'm keeping a close eye as this card unfolds to see if it's worth the trek down from Vancouver. I went to the last Fox card in Seattle and had a blast. This is a nice addition but I don't see it as anything more than the main card opener or the last prelim. What this show needs is a representative from British Columbia *cough* Rory *cough*.
Never been a fan of Melvin, Danzig takes this by UD.
I think Danzig takes this if he fights smart. Melvin just doesn't do well when he up against well rounded opponents.
I think Mac decisions him, but with Melvin, there's always a KO chance...
There's also the likely scenario that Melvin does a classic 'Melvin' and walks right into a submission (despite fighting well up to that point).
Cant stand that talent wasting Melvin so I guess I'll root for Mac he seems like a cool dude.
I am hoping for a sub by Mac.
