I hope every potential "super' fight does not include this much yapping and back and forths.

Georges St-Pierre All But Closes the Door on Anderson Silva Superfight | MMAWeekly.com

“I need to do stuff in my division before I take (a superfight) because it has moved now,” said St-Pierre.

“If he wants to make 170, I weigh 170, and he can (come down to) 170, that’s fine,” said St-Pierre.

    GSP didn't pick that fight.

    Penn and Dana did.

But your answer is Thiago Alves.

You can hate to tell me all you want, it doesnt make it any less of a duck on GSP if he fights _ANYONE_ aside from Hendricks next. I dont care if he's taking a fight with a gorilla because every dollar will be donated to curing cancer, he's still ducking Hendricks if he fights anyone else.

Its not hard to understand, just take off your rose-coloured glasses.

As a GSP fan this bothers me. I mean really George??? really?? you have a guy who has earned his shot..and not just earned it, emphatically earned it by putting 3 top 5'ers to sleep before storytime, and were on about this Anderson Silva shit again??? George cant beat AS. He isnt big enough to do it. AS is a 220Lber who cuts to 185. George will be demolished. I hatre to say it but its true (unless the fix is in) You are the gatekeeper, the Kingpin, and the God of 170...So fight the next guy at 170..Big rig or bust. And if he skips Big rig again GSP will lose some loyal fans for running away from a guy who earned his shot the hard way in lieu of something less threatening to his legacy.

If I remember correctly GSP or his camp stated something of You never know when your last fight might be. Than there was something as Taking the Nick fight for money as might not be able to do it later GSP only has so many fights left. Somebody may find a hard accurate qoute.
With that he skipped over Hendricks call it what ever but he skipped over him.
Now at least GSP mentioned he would vacate the title if he went after Silva @ 185#

GSP and his manager are very cautious they don't like to take any unnessacary risks. So does Hendricks issue a big risk compared to Nick [ my vote YES] against Anderson ???
It will be a long amount of time to were GSP would feal he could be physically ready for Anderson. Does GSP need the money [NO], but a pour showing basicly means he would retire.[ My thought] I don't like were GSP is going, but many people are pushing/swaying him to just go $$$$$$$$$$$$$

when he ducked Hendricks the first time--and make no mistake, he utterly completely and entirely ducked Hendricks--to face Diaz, the overall response to the criticism was "he's just so mad at that mean-ol' Nick, let him get this one fight off his chest and he'll face Hendricks next. Georgie, he's such a nice guy and he's never asked for anything. Let him pick this one fight, if anyone's earned the right to pick and choose his opponents, it's him."

It was bullshit at the time, but becomes even more bullshit when and if he doesn't face Hendricks next.

If this was Anderson chasing vanity fights and avoiding someone who had beaten 4 straight top 10 fighters--three of them top 5 at the time he beat them--the interweb would be going insane about it. And rightfully so.

You either face the #1 contender, or you duck the #1 contender.

    There is no third option.

He would be ducking out of his obligation to defend his title against the #1 contender in the WW division, to face an opponent in another division that'll get him a bigger payday.
