I hope Bigg Rigg lands one, cause if he does it's night-night Frenchie.

But Hendricks gets almost all of his KO's in the first round, and I don't think any have come past the 2nd. His power fades pretty fast. Nearly all of his fights that left the 1st round have been very close decisions.

Personally, I see Hendricks best chance being to come out of the gate flying, and put hands on GSP as quickly as possible. The longer he lets GSP set up, and find his range, the worse this fight is going to work out for Hendricks. GSP can't be allowed to dictate the pace at the start of this fight.

Bold prediction time. If Hendricks lands a flush shot in the first minute of the fight, he'll win.

Lets not pretend that GSP is Lennox Lewis. GSP could get TKO'd (again)
Mmm... Lennox Lewis got KO'd by Hasim Rahman because he took the fight lightly.

Why did you choose him as an example?

I just dont see this playing out any differently than GSP vs Kos 2.

That's also what they said about Koscheck.

Explain how GSP gives opponents easy opportunities to KO him let alone in the championship rounds?

Even if GSP doesn't finish he has his opponents tired and battered. Its not easy to KO someone under these circumstances. Doesn't Hendricks cut like 40+ lbs before a fight?

It seems to me that Hendricks attempts to close the distance with his hands pretty low and his head down. That's not a good thing against a jab and lateral movement like GSP has.

Very true and I'm not saying that GSP is going to get beat, I'm just saying that it's going to be very tough to keep from taking the shot from Hendricks. From what I saw, Hendricks is pretty quick with his TDD, so it may be a little tougher to get him to the ground (in the first round or two anyway). Hendricks obviously has more one punch KO power than Kos. But eating a few jabs and counters from a guy with little to no KO power to have more chances of landing your power shot is well worth it. Hendricks knows that he can't beat GSP on points. So he will have 5 rounds to land a few KO shots. But if it goes past 2 rounds, I don't see Hendricks' cardio holding out.

We will see. I think the fight will likely be Hendricks on his back and GSP scoring points.
