Vitor vs winner of Chael/Shogun would be nice.
Vitor vs winner of Machida/Davis would be nice too

    Vitor Vs Glover or Rashad?

My feeling on this is that Vitor wanted a higher ranking (or at least higher profile) fight than Tim Kennedy, so he turned it down based solely on that. I think all the rest is just posturing and media shenanigans. Pure speculation, but I sense he's just biding his time until a better opportunity rises, and trying to associate himself with title shots in the meantime.

It's been mentioned that he could take Anderson's spot if Silva gets injured. The same goes for any of the other top ranked MW showdowns. With the title fight being at the end of the year, he has time to see how the division plays out, and then wait for an opponent (Munoz, Okami, etc...) that would make his fight a definitive #1 contender fight.

I don't think he has earned the right to wait for the next title shot, and I don't think it would be a good idea for him to do so even if he had. That being said, I'll wait to see how this plays out because I have a feeling that's not what he will actually try to do in the end.

Belfort would rather fight Roy Nelson at heavyweight?

    http://www.mmajunkie.com/news/2013/0...at-heavyweight

Instead, Prado said, Belfort is willing to fight in the meantime – just not at middleweight unless a title is on the line.

"It doesn't make sense that Vitor, who is No. 1 in the rankings, should fight against No. 2, No. 6 or No. 10 in his weight class," Prado said. "His next fight in the middleweight class will be against the winner of Chris Weidman vs. Anderson Silva. If the UFC wishes him to fight in any class above middleweight, we are at their disposal. It can be anyone, Tim Kennedy, even Roy Nelson, but it has to be at 205 pounds or heavyweight – he'll even fight as a heavyweight. Vitor wants to fight, but in his weight class, only if for the belt."

Aside of that loss, he has won 5 times, he has finished the 5 fights, 4 of them by KO.
He has been the only one who almost defeated Jon Jones aswell.

To me, he has earned his right to turn down a fight against Tim Kennedy who is not even in the Top 10.

The only thing Vitor has earned is to have an asterisk beside his name.

Come on fellas? Do y'all really think Vitor is going to say NO to uncle Dana? This is just posturing on his part to get a better deal/fight. I think the winner of Bisping/Munoz or Jacare/Okami makes more sense. I'd love to see him and Cung Le fight before they retire, or how about that Wandi fight that didn't happen? Lots of options for him, he's just making noise now to get into a better position. He will do whatever Dana asks him to do, that should be a given.

If he believes hes the best the rank should be irrelevant. I hate when fighters openly turn down fights and say stupid things like "im only going to cut weight if its for the title if not im not fighting." What happens if he some how manages to become champion, will he bitch about the weight cut and then turn down fights then?? If you believe you are championship material the opponent shouldnt matter.

If only we could slap a new chin on Wandy, give him some TRT, and then make the Vitor rematch in Brazil at LHW.

    Oh, the violence...
