I'm sure Cain won't mind fighting rematches, new opponents, roiders, coke addicts, tweakers, pill poppers, rustlers, cut throats, murderers, bounty hunters, desperados, mugs, pugs, thugs, nitwits, halfwits, dimwits, vipers, snipers, con men, Indian agents, Mexican bandits, muggers, buggerers, bushwhackers, hornswogglers, horse thieves, bull dykes, train robbers, bank robbers, ass-kickers, shit-kickers and Methodists. Anyone that's put in front of him, really.

The champion should defend against the second ranked contender. The concern should not be about defending against new opponents rather against the highest ranked competition possible.

JDS loosing the way he did was the worst thing that could happen for the HW division. Now it is a HUGE drop off from the top 3 to the top 10. And the number 2 HW is leaving the division, Cain has maybe 2 fights that are worth his effort at this point, in Werdum and Barnett, but after that unless AO comes back or Bones moves up the HW division is shallow.

Anyone outside the UFC in the HW division making waves?

Cain Velasquez's camp confused by report of broken jaw at UFC 166
"The thing is totally fine, and it was totally fine," Heidi Seibert, a spokesperson for Zinkin Entertainment, today told MMAjunkie.com. "He hasn't seen a doctor or anything."

I'm not adverse to rematches I would just like to see some fresh match ups for the champ. And there really aren't that many credible HW opponents for him.
