I don't know, you could make the case.

Beat Bigfoot, Barnett, Mir, and Nelson consecutively.

Werdum beat Nelson, russow, and nog since losing to reem. You tell me, which is more impressive recently?

Granted, werdum has a win on Bigfoot and fedor and the fedor win should be immeasurable.

I simply think his style trumps werdums.

It makes me laugh so hard when people rank Cormier above Werdum.

He used his advatages well and dominated.

Im not saying he needs to swing and have a 'barn burner' to be more exciting but he definately needs to sexy-up his clinch game.

Somone like Randy Couture had similar attributes but you couldnt call a Randy fight boring.

It's lay 'n pray against the cage.

I think he beats everyone except Cain.

Both Werdum and JDS. It wouldnt be hard for him to implement the same game plan against JDS. Plus given how much damage Cain has dished out to JDS in less than a year, JDS has def weakened as a fighter, not by skill, but by amount of punishment.

    I think he murders werdum.

He is solid, but indeed he is not spectacular.
I think that Cain, JDS and maybe also Werdum definitely beat him.

    Yes he did, at 211lb.

But that was over 5 years ago. He hasnt been near that weight in so long. But he does have experience at that weight and was handling bigger guys his whole life. The transition to LHW, fighting smaller guys wont be an issue. In fact the only guy at LHW who may have the speed advantage on Cormier would be Rashad. It will be interesting to see who he matches up first with and how he handles them.

I agree but I would venture a guess that he'll be more explosive and even quicker at 205 so it may be a wash. Didn't he wrestle at like 211?
