    the first shot fedor threw landed square on his jaw, Werdum fell forward possibly rocked and was off balance, from there he fell backwards and the rest is history

    He didn't fall down on purpose. He was off balance dodging punches.

    But it did work in his favor.

    yeah, I wasn't saying it as an attack on Werdum, more so on that Fedor didn't really knock him down which was kind of the general sentiment of most people at the time it happened.

    Yeah, he was already starting to lose his good position at that point of the gif. He really could have just flattened himself out into side control at one point.

    I think Joel meant the hooking behind his knee after passing to the right just before your clip.

    He's saying Fedor had no business staying in there and should have kept moving right to north/south or stand up.

    But no doubt, that bound into the cage gave Werdum the triangle and stopped a likely scramble.

    Hard to believe it appeared inexperience got Fedor (sort of).
