Yep, everyone would remember him if they don't already as he's one of the main go-to guys at Heavyweight when promoters need a fighter north of 205 lbs. on short notice. He took a UFC fight in one day's notice before, many other times he's taken fights without much notice. The boy has big round balls, no denying that. But yeah, everyone is going to remember whoever Bas fights, it's been 7 years in the making and whoever he fights is going to have more attention on them then they'd probably ever had before, before the fight and after. Well, that is if WFA ever gets someone to fight Bas on a days' notice. Sims doesn't seem to be the guy, I've heard names from Randleman to Belfort, but I highly doubt one of those guys would be ready and more importantly willing to take that fight. I'd LOVE to see Belfort-Rutten, and I would love to see Randleman-Rutten II. What a comeback that would be after 7 years, fighting the guy you fought in your last fight - a fight that you won via controversial decision. Blamo, perfect return and in either case (Randleman or Belfort) it's a bout 10x more exciting than Bas-Kimo or Bas-Sims. That's my main reason for thinking it's not going to happen. If they were able to get a Belfort or Randleman for Bas, they probably would have done that instead of Kimo. Plus, Bas seemed frustrated about changing from Kimo to just Wes Sims on extremely short notice, how would he possibly change up his game plan for someone like Belfort or Randleman?

props to Wes Sims for sticking with the WEC Benefit show. I don't like the guy, but it shows honor and integrity. He could of taken the money and fought Bas.

Simms isn't allowed to fight cause the California State Athletic Commission won't allow a fighter to compete in 2 events within a 7-day span...and Simms was one of the first fighters to volunteer for the Ryan Bennet benefit show next Friday for the WEC...he ultimately chose that instead

Kimo is a scumbag. You put all of this time into the promotion, know you'll be tested and what??? How frigin moronic are you? I hope they ban him from competition in the US. He's a fish anyway. A guy who looks the part but can't step up.

Now that Sims is out though, alot of peeps on Sherdog are saying Kevin Randleman will be the replacement.
But that sounds far-fetched 2 me.

I'm not too disappointed. I'm just glad to see Bas back fighting. I think Bas vs Sims could be an exciting fight. Most likely a short one though.
