No-no not in the fight. These were all injuries he had going into the fight.

Did he really break a rib? I don't even remember Warpath getting a good body shot on Bas.

I agree. Under Pancrase rules Bas couldn't even punch, had big fucking pads on his shins. It was mainly a grappling organization then, and at the time Shamrock was ahead of the grappling curve in actual "NHB" or "MMA" rules fights. Now he's just another Average Joe at best and Bas might have even surpassed him in submission knowledge.

Bas always said his style was the absolute perfect style for Vanderlei, and Bas knows the sport inside and out. I'd love to see that fight. But anyways, that fight won't happen so it's a non-issue.

YEAH I THINK BAS WOULD DO CHILL MAYBE NOT WIN BUT HED PUT UP A GOOD FIGHT... BUT 4 REAL I WOULD LOVE TO SEE BAS FIGHT KEN OR FRANK OR KEVIN OR COLEMAN... THOSE COULD REALLY HAPPEN AND THEY WOULD BE GOOD FIGHTS...ACTUALLY I THINK BAS WOULD MURDER KEN NOW... BAS MIGHT HAVE LOST BACK IN THE DAY BUT I THINK HED KILL HIM NOW...

It was two months from fruititon untill Pride dropped the fighting purse in half. Then Bas said fuck it

His exact words were "If your going to fight a guy like that, you better at least be able to buy your family a house afterwards".

    Wise words.
