I'm not sure exactly if he got a win bonus vs Yoshida. Pride doesn't officially release fighter pay, so it's all rumor and speculation. I just know that the winner of GP's always gets a bonus purse. It used to be more though. I think they were giving out $250,000 to the winner for the 2004 HWGP.

I understand that Cro Cop doesn't want to fight for free if he would happen to get by Silva and then lose in the finals. I would think that in Pride's eyes the pay that the fighters are receiving for the night is for the prospect of having 2 fights and not just for the 1 semi-final fights.

So did he not get a win bonus for beating Yoshida in the last round?

I always thought you got a win bonus whenever you won a fight in Pride & UFC?

Therefore there shouldn't be any doubt who'll take Crocop's place.

However, I'm not totally convinced he'll not fight Silva. The article says that he has a dispute over the pay ($150,000 seems a BS figure comparing that Rutten got $200,000 for fighting Warpath?!?!) but DSE are in discussions with the fighter's management.
    exactly!

I would actually kind of like to see zentsov fight silva because zentsov will definitely keep it standing. he has actully KO 2 excellent muay thai fighters for his last two fights. so it could be a good fight.

Yeah Wandy gets $400,000 per fight, Fedor was getting $1 million in like 03 and I have not seen any figures since then so it either stayed the same or went up. Nog was at $1 million at the ime but he was basically 1 1/2 at the time as feodr dominated him but no one was sure it would be repeated (it of course was) so Cro Cop being #3 in the world he is probably looking at a $400,000-$500,000 pay day (IMO it should not be more than Wandy even though he is a HW) and he could get fugged up and injured by any of those 3 fighters. But it's not like he isn't getting paid so he should proceed with the fight as planned as he was aware of the rules prior to entering the contest and all of the fans are already amped for a war.

Could he be worried about his pride and rep if he were to lose to Wandy? IMO I would not mind loosing to Wandy, he is a LHW that can beat most of the HW so it should not change any opinions of Cro Cop, it would just validate everyone's claim regarding how good Wandy really is.

I think Fedor is still recovering from his hand surgery. I'd like to see Mark Coleman take the spot. He's rumored to be fighting in the UFC in October though.

If this is true, then I would assume that Zhensov gets Cro-Cop's spot and the A. Emelieninkov (sp) vs. Sergei Kharitanov fight decides the new alternate. Unless something is up w/ Zhensov, this is the only logical way to deal w/ Cro-Cop's PUSS-OUT!
