I saw dagreat1 saying he probley gets atleast 400,000 for each fight. I did read an interview where Chuck Liddell said that contrary to popular belief Pride fighters do not get paid more than UFC fighters. So that would lead me to believe that top Pride fighters such as Cro Cop get a guaranteed 200,000 to 300,000 per fight. But there's really no way of knowing since Pride doesnt have to publicise there pay scale. Im also not sure if Pride is sharing PPV revenue with their fighters like the UFC is starting to do. If they are then Cro Cop is probley making well over dagrea1's 400,000 estimate. I would think that Pride has to share PPV revenue with their main event stars or they will start to lose them to orgainization's that do.

I think the $150,000 was just a bonus for the winner but I'm not sure.

I think giving the fighters a percetage of the gate sales or PPV sales is a bad move, it gives the fighters too much leverage IMO and like you said the fihgters can jump from organization to organization and it is because the fihgt contracts are so short. I wonder if in the future we will see organizations signing fighters to basketball and baseball like contracts where it will be a 7-10 year contract, but then again that would be very very difficult and a huge risk for the org unless they had a clause in the contract where if the fihgter was injured and forced into retirement they would not recevie pay any longer.

For the second Fedor vs Nog fight Bas or Quadros stated that they were both getting paid over 1 million dollars per fight and I think they agreed to take a pay cut for that second fight just because they wanted to fight so badly.

I would like to see the Pride numbers. You would figure they have to be making uch more than UFC or they would jump ship to the UFC so maybe Chuck is correct about the salary but if the fighters get a percentage of gate sales or PPV the Pride fighters dominate UFC in fighter income.

If the latter is true i dont see why Wandy,Nog and Barnett wouldnt hold out for more money also. Anyone know more spefics of the agreement they came please feel free to share. But in the whole scheme of things they made a good business decision by doing whatever it took to keep Mirko/Wandy II on this card. I dunno bout you guys but i wanna see this fight just as much if not more then Chuck/Wandy.

I dunno what the numbers were but he probably makes $400,000 per fight as it is, he must be trying to get another $100,00 out of it if he is to make it to the finals and lose.

He is a great fighter and one the most exciting to watch but he in no way hold the cards in Pride, if he were in UFC he could pretty much call the shots but Pride's HW division is so deep he does not have as much leverage as he would like but Pride will of course keep as long as his demands are reasonable becasue he does draw a huge amount of attention and has certainly built a home in Pride.

I think that's all part of Wanerlei's mystique, his staredowns are blank, he fights like a caged animal and loves to trash talk to play mind games with his opponents.

In actuality, he is a family man and a very nice guy as he has stated many times to Bas and Quadros and in his documentary you are able to gain a strong sense of that.

Cro Cop interviews are great, almost as good as Rampage interviews.
