I would love to see that fight, but I think it would be unfair to GSP to have him fight to be #1 contender again. I know it happened with Karo too, but I can't bear to see the guy beg for a shot again.

Yeah, I agree Diego isn't ready for any of them but I also thought that of Karo, although I don't think Karo's in that league either.

Oh yeah, by the way, I don't understand everybodies deal with Penn. I meen he beat Hughes 2 and a half years ago. Hughes is a much better fighter today than he was then. And since that fight Penn hasn't really done anything. He beat 2 Gracies and Duane (1 punch) Ludwig. He may be great, he may even beat Hughes (I seriously doubt it), but I wont give this guy any credit until he does something now now then.

It is the only fair way to do it as other contenders are active and are winning fights so you can't just strip them of a contender spot so the next match we will see will be GSP vs Diego unless Penn wins in which case we will see GSP vs Hughes for the contender spot.
I'll bet you anything you want that unless GSP is out an extended period of time he will get the winner and Diego will get the loser.

he had excellent subs 2 years ago lol I dont think much has changed, and I also dont think he raped GSP on the ground ya that sub was awesome but GSP did get out of a few takedowns.

not really and the thing is since that fight, BJ Penn went on to fight Ludwig which is a better fighter then anyone Hughes has beaten excluding GSP, and he lost to Machida whos a damn damn damn good fighter going to a decision with him is better then beatin trigg if you ask me.. especially when Machida is a LHW/HH and Penn is a natural Welterweight/Lightweight.
