    Oh yeah I do remember that kick now. Yeah, it was pretty vicious, but then that armbar popped out of nowhere. But that also goes to show how good a champion he is. He takes a lick and keeps with the gameplan.

    ya GSP had him hurt thats for sure, he kicked him right in the stomach, he was overpowering his takedowns as well.. but you still make a good point.

    Frank Trigg kneed him in the balls (twice!) and had a rear naked locked in, and STILL couldnt finish the man.

    I don't remember if GSP had him bleeding or not. I could be wrong.

    Just look at his career, who he's beat and how many times he's defended his title. He unlike many other overated fighters deserves the respect and recognition that he gets. He doesn't duck anyone and when he does lose he doesn't come up with bullshit excuses, he just improves and comes back stronger... He is a true champion. And it is Dennis Hallman. lol...

    Who else would you consider to be a better champion than Hughes? I can't think of anyone who has been as dominant as Hughes has. Sure, he's lost fights. Everyone does.

    But since losing to BJ, has anyone even come close to hurting Hughes? I don't think so.
