That makes no sense to fight one of the best fighters in the business as your first fight. No one does that...you get warm up fights. I find it strange that people would expect him to take on such a suicidal task like that so quickly.

I also don't get all the hate people are throwing his way. If he hadn't done anything in the WWE and all we saw was this monster of a kid that was training with the Gracies and getting his stand up from some other camp (who is training him?) and...oh yeah... He was an NCAA wrestling champion (among other state titles... here is a link that describes what he accomplished in high school and college http://www.cooldudesandhotbabes.com/lesnar.html ) people would be all over this guy slobbering to see him fight.

So what if he was in the WWE? He made his millions and now wants to challenge himself in a new area. People are so blinded by their hatred of everything wrestling that they fail to see this guy is trying to do it legitimately.

I hope he starts slow and works his way up and becomes a champion, if for no other reason to show that the world is not going to crack in half because a former WWE wrestler is actually good as something else in his life.

    "Word" out to you AudieMurphy1

We all should cheer for Lesner to become a super fighter, if it happens we are the people that will benifit from it.

Yeah real Lame, you know making millions at his job, then deciding to try new things in his life. Yeah real lame, so lame in fact that he was able to basically walk off the street and at least have enough skill to actually have a shot at the NFL. So that didn't work out, the guy is young and as a desire to try new things. That doesn't make you lame, it makes you a person with enough physical gifts that he has a chance to do many things. His new thing now is MMA, and hopefully it works out for him, I will be cheering for Lesner the whole way and I don't know why more people don't see the potential for him to be great. He has the tools, the talent and now he is taking his time to learn the skills from some of the best fighters in the world. His coach or whatever is Royce Gracie and he already has spent time with the Militech camp, and Pat himself stated that he felt Lesner would be unstoppable in a year. Now if Pat is saying that about you, then for sure you are a lame.

Yeah, I think he is too. I saw a fight a guy fell to the ground in a K1 match. I can't remember what happened to get him down. Anyhow, the ref stepped in and what I saw next was the stupidest thing I have seen. Sap stood there for a few seconds, then for no reason he hauled back and drove the guy in the head while he was on the ground. The guy wasn't defending or anything, it was a cheep, cheep shot that came from a over sized idiot with no common sense. I don't care who he is, that shot could have really hurt the guy he was fighting.

I'd personally love to see Lesnar fight, but with lack of experience he surely doesn't wana take on a striker for his first fight. He wants some1 generally well rounded that doesnt excell at anything in particular, then he can simply turn it into a wrestling match and dominate.

I think Don Frye would be a horrible first fight for Lesner. Lets see...lets put a guy with some of the hardest and best hands in the business (even if he is getting a little long in the tooth) against a guy who has never been in a striking fight before....

    I see DOOM...DOOM I SAY!

I think Frye would overwhelm him with little powerful atomic bomb punches to the stomach and head.

Sapp gets no love because he is a moron, has an awesome "ring around the rosie" circle defense against punches, and has a lame music video that is used for torture session at Guantanamo Bay.
