    i agree w/ all that.

that's why I dont buy UFC ppvs. i just d/l them from the net. because you know there will only be 1-2 good fights.

in PRIDE there is always 5-6 good fights and the event and production is tremendous

that is why I feel sometimes UFC is lying to the public and being very fake.
SOMETIMES? I feel that way almost always and it is not just suspision or speculation, it as a fact. UFC tries very very hard to dictate fighters skill levels and opponents by hyping them up and setting them up fights that drastically favor them.

There are the occasional "fair" fights where a champion must fight a great fighter with the same strengths (or rare breeds with different strengths than yours that just nulify your strengths), these are rare cases and when they happen, it usually is not good for the poster boys. Hence A. Silva and Hughes getting raped up until Penn gassed in the 2nd round because untill the 3rd round, BJ was up 2-0 and was on his way to a victory but burned all of his energy going for that choke that would've put normal men to sleep but a horse-necked beast like Hughes, will withstand that onslaught as we wittnessed in the 2nd Trigg fight as he is the best champion the UFC has ever seen and is a beast of a mab that is the ONLY legit world ranked #1 fighter that UFC has as I strongly feel if Pride had a WW class Hughes would be the champion.

They did promote the hell out of that win like it was something special...

Everytime you see a Franklin clip with his career story that win over Shamrock is always the highlight of his career wins like it is something spectacualr...

Yes I did forget about Lindland.... He is a tough spot, I would put him at 3-4 with Hendo being either 3 or 4. At this point in time, maybe the fight would favor Lindland, 2 years ago Hendo is clearly the best MW in the world, time has caught up with him so yeah, either Hendo 3 and Lindland 4 or vice versa.

Yeah Franklin's definitely top 10, top 5 in my opinion despite this loss. When I first saw Silva strike, against Leben, I was thinking he'd be a very tough test for Franklin..his strikes are so fluid and he's very agile on his feet. Anyways I think Franklin should get Swick, like how the UFC likes to pit fighters who just lost in their title fights against top contenders or rising stars in their next fight, as in Tanner vs. Loiseau, and Loiseau vs. Swick. Maybe put this on the same card as Silva vs. TUF 4 MW winner?
