I understand that adreneline dictates behavior in situations like that, and I never thought Schultz was a mensa-candidate to begin with. He'll get what he deserves, particularly if he fights anyone with any kind of a rounded game. That fight was just two strikers without KO power or cardio flailing away.

I was surprised at how worked up Rampage got when I first saw it, but I can understand that as well. I would have laughed if Forrest had called him on the "I'll bet my entire purse" comment...Forrest should have, he'd be getting something like 5 to 1 on his money. It would have been great TV for him to have said "Hey, I'll take that action, come back here and shake on it, TUFguy."

Good blog - thanks for the post.

The melt down that ensued was edited in Gerald's favor. He really lost it, and that went on for about 10 minutes. He had given up so much to get here and the feeling of that coming to an end was too much to bear. I had an empty feeling in my stomach for Gerald. It feels terrible to be winning and then all of a sudden you have lost. It is very difficult to deal with. In your mind you were dominating, and therefore, there should have been no way for you to lose.
Even with the editing Gerald was a bit overboard. It's good that he is passionate and he does have some okay wrestling - if he keeps training he may have something at some point. That's still an 'if', and you gotta earn your shit in the cage. I think he was overconfident and really only showed take down ability, limited stamina, and no developed skill for G&P, IMO.
