I would think it would be an entertaining event, kinda like the midget wrestlers v. Andre the Giant in the early 80's. You could even start handicap matches 3 midgets v. Fedor... or 6 midgets in a tag team match w. the brothers Emelianko(for those that dont get sarcasm) Seriously though IMO when people think of great champions majority of people will say a HW, just because we normally associate big to tough. Fedor is the greatest all around fighter I have ever seen Heo could drop wieght but he gets paid more as a HW.

Dropping weight is not really cowardice if everyone is doing it. When I was Wrestling it was either I drop to 145 from 160 or face a 171-181 lb guy at 152. That is a much different size of person, epecially after they eat 2 pizzas and put back on 10-15 lbs...

Believe me though, dropping too much weight is very unhealthy, I once feinted in a match when I tried to go to 130 from 160 to suprise the competition for districts. I ended up missing districts due to dehydration, so the next year I just stayed at my lowest possible weight.

Doing it correctly is a major part of all weight class sports and adds to the physilogical and psychological parts of the game.

However, Fedor should stay where he is at, HW is where the most $ is at and he owns it.

    Randy never that great?

At one point Randy was probably the best pound for pound fighter in the world.

Reguardless of what anybody says, fighters don't want to drop weight if they can compete in a higher weight class. In any fight sport whether it's Boxing, MMA or Kickboxing ect. It's just more prestigous to be the HW champion of the world.

The only reason fighters drop weight is because they can not compete in the the higher ones. Personally I think it's cowardice.

Randy dropped weight because he was tired of losing at HW but personally I just think he was never that great. He's a very good fighter but didn't have the tools to compete with the elite even though he beat many HWs. BTW Randy is the one who started this trend of unknowlegable MMA fans entertaining the thought of HWs coming down in weight when there is no need too.

Fedor is ruling the HW division I'm sure he's never even thought of moving down in weight to fight weaker fighters. That doesn't even sound right. Point is, people need to stop these theads because it's rediculous.

It wouldn't really make sense for him to drop down...but who knows. If he totally dominates everybody at Heavyweight for a second time, maybe he'll drop down in weight.

i dont think there would be much point. He doesnt need to drop down, like its been mentioned b4 ppl drop down weight classes to face smaller opponents...in fedors case no point he is the big boy in his division and any one who wants the hw belt steps to his weight class. He has proven himself already, no need to come down and destroy every1 else. Also it might take away from his strength if he drops down. Even tho he isnt shredded he is a VERY strong 224, or wutever he weighs in at. Im kinda pullin for cro cop at the rematch tho, he is prob the only one in the world who has a chance.

LOL! Nah, I don't hate Wand, I was really just a little curious if Pride would allow him to hold both belts. I would highly doubt it but I wasn't sure if it was in the rules or what?? Also, I was a lil too drunk when I made this post last night after watching him destroy coleman once again. I guess I got on a "Fedor destroys everyone" kick! My bad guys! LOL

i think fedor would make more money as the heavy weight champion than middle weight in pride. i mean, he wants some time to relax.
