Solid fight but there's no way this fight makes the main card. Especially with Liddell/Evans, Hendo/Palhares, Hamill/Franklin and Parisyan/Yoshida already announced. There's only room for 1 more main card fight and this can't be high on UFC's priorities, especially with Carneiro losing to Burns.

Chonen can finally eat now. Also I think if he loses he's going the way of Nakamura and will be released.

The way this card is shaping up you have to guess prelims or maybe first televised fight of the night.

Juc„o faces Ryo Chonan at UFC 88

The defeat to Kevin Burnes at UFC 85 has made the Brazilian Roan Juc„o drops some steps in the ranking of the welterweight category. However, UFC 88, which is scheduled to take place on September 6 at Atlanta, United States, Juc„o will have a double chance in his career. The first is the return fight against Ryo Chonan, who defeated his at Deep on 2005, and the second, is the opportunity to re-breathe at the event. "This is an important fight for the Juc„o. It is a fight he wanted for a long time and it didnít happen at UFC 85 because Chonan got injured. He is now training hard and he is going very well prepared for this fight", revealed to TATAME the manager Alex Davis.

Not earth shattering news but i guess its important if you enjoy watching either one of these fighters.
