Yeah, I'd almost rather they re-played some footage from the first PPV during that intermission, or maybe even a few of Fedor's old fights (Especially the one with Randleman). I'm sure that would save them money. Your right though, a live band doesn't seem to fit, but if it is gonna be a live music act it might as well be a badass one like Ozzy.

I honestly could do without music during MMA. I'm a music guy but it just doesn't seem to fit. With that said, I'd rather see Ozzy than Megadeth. I haven't dug them since Peace Sells, but who's buying.

Sorry to dig this topic back up again, but I just thought that some of the metal fans would like to know that Zakk will FOR SURE be performing with OZZY at the Affliction show. There were some questions as to whether he'd be there or not since he'll be on tour at the time with Korn and BLS but this is a bulletin from Zakk's official MySpace page:

    MySpace

Coming off the success of its inaugural Mixed Martial Arts fight card,
Affliction Banned, Affliction Entertainment is has announced Affliction
"Day of Reckoning", featuring heavyweights Andre Arlovski vs.
Josh Barnett, as well as a slew of additional match-ups.
Anyone who knows Zakk knows he's passionate about the fight game- so expect the unexpected from him at this event!

Ozzy, with Zakk and the rest of the guys will perform 3 songs at Affliction: Day of Reckoning. Don't miss it on Saturday October 11th at the Thomas &
Mack Center in Las Vegas, NV.

    You can purchase tickets at

Check local cable and satellite listing for PPV information as well!

Oh well, more time to talk between fights and mute the tv. Blah.

    Ozzy is god.

That being said, the performances at the first Affliction show didn't really add to the value of the production, IMO. But fuck it, seeing Ozzy should be cool.

I still don't like this whole having a band play at an major (or any) MMA event. But at least they got a good act this time instead another shit band like Megadeath.

Do you watch the SuperBowl? I can't remember the last half time show that I really liked. Yeah I know you are not paying for the SB, but oh well.

They only play like 1 song at a time, if you don't like the group just walk away.

I really think Affliction puts on the best show by far.

For those of us who went to the Affliction 1 show, I think the band and MMA was a great mix, it gets you really pumped up and adds to the event.

I am not a fan of Ozzy, but does it really matter, you get 2 shows for the price of 1.

Next time they need to get Wu Tang Clan.
