Oh well in that case, I guess it is. But as I stated before and again Brock brings the casual wrestling fan that was dying to see him wrestle, fight, play football etc. He is still hot, hot, hot to the casual fan. The hardcore fan could care less about Lesnar. Randy brings the hardcore fan that wants to see him fight because he is always winning against the odds, the casual fan that has seen a couple of his fights via ppv or dvd or via ufc unleashed will be happy to see Couture fight Lesnar. So you see this is the UFC uniting casual and hardcore fan, it's a win win, Randy gets a new contract and we know that if he signed it it's because he agrees with the terms, gets 2 fights and then will get Fedor. I don't see what all the complaining is about.

This is one of the dumbest things that Dana has ever set up no matter if Randy wins or not.I don't see Brock nore Randy Beating Nog.

#1.Lesnar was open for a knee bar his whole bout with Herring. This would have have made for a very short fight with Nog.
#2.I see Nog destroying Randy on his feet, and subbing a battered Randy once it hits the ground.
#3.I don't think anyone has Mir beating Nog.

After it all plays out the UFC still has a HW champ that has been beat twice by Fedor.

Go Couture. This guy's gonna school the duh out of Lesnar. Randy's just gonna be so much more prepared than Lesnar. Imo, Lesnar doesn't know what he stepped into.
Grab his leg Randy, grab his leg.

anderson, rampage, nog, bj, and randy are arguable the 5 best in the world. they all have proven themselves time and time again. who has lesnar beat?
herring isnt shit anymore. sure he had the skills but hes lost it. lesnar vs congo and randy vs winner of nog/mir is what should have happened. even lesnar vs werdum makes more sense than lesnar vs couture.

    fuck you brock jocks.

    couture by rape and murder

We could actually see Lesnar versus Mir 2.

I picking picking Randy, here's why, if this was a three round fight I may go with Lesnar due to the fact I think he would just try a lay on Couture for 3 rounds.
How good is Lesnar's cardio? we all know Randy can go 8 rounds if needed, can Lesnar go 5 rounds? How has his submission defense improved and how good is his chin?
Randy's gonna test him on all those things.

Then I believe Nog will win Mir by tko.

Then we got Nog versus Randy, wow thats a good fight.
This is exactly how I see it. Cardio is, I believe, the key to the fight. Lesnar is definitely not another Sylvia. He's stronger and faster so Couture better bring it all. As Brock said, there's just not much tape on him and he's ever improving.

Though Randy may have all he can handle if he fights Nog.

    The Natural is back!

Well I for once welcome The Natural back to the UFC. And I am happy that he is facing Brock Lesnar. To me it doesn't matter who he was fightin, I am just happy to see him back in the octagon again. You guys have to remember that it's all about bussiness to stay alive, you may not agree with all the decisions the UFC does but to me this was a no brainer. You know how many buys and tickets sales this event is gonna generate? Lots and that's why they made that decision. Now I'm gonna quote somebody from another forums, this is not the first time the ufc has done this.

I can't believe all the Lesnar haters in here. Following is a little history lesson on other arguably "undeserved" title shots following the same logic as some of the posters here:

-Anderson Silva gets a title shot at UFC 64 after beating Chris Leben in his debut UFC fight. He was 2-1 in his previous three fights (the same as Lesnar is now).

-BJ Penn gets a welterweight title shot at UFC 46 despite having never fought a welterweight bout in the UFC, AND not having fought a bout in the UFC in nearly a year, AND with his previous bout being a draw, with his last win in the UFC over Matt Serra.

-Rampage Jackson gets a LHW title fight against Chuck Liddell at UFC 71 despite having only one UFC LHW bout, a win against non-contender Marvin Eastman.

-Big Nog, at UFC 81 (where Lesnar made his UFC debut), received a title shot after beating Heath Herring in Nog's UFC debut, the same man Lesnar beat prior to this upcoming title shot with Couture. At that point. Nogueira was 2-1 in his previous three fights, and had not held or fought for a title in over three years.

    and finally.....

Randy Couture, at UFC 68, gets a title fight against Tim Sylvia for the HW title, despite being 2-3 in his previous five fights (all at LHW), AND having not fought a HW bout in FIVE YEARS, AND coming off of a loss to Chuck Liddell for the LHW title.

Looking at it from this perspective, it's hard to argue that Lesnar deserved this title shot less than several of the current or recent UFC champions.
And you know he is right. Why do you think they kept Tito so long even though Tito was not beatin any top contender? Because he drew money to the company. All of those examples where made for a simple reason:money. Because for a bussiness to stay alive they have to make a profit.
