    Tavares via brutal knee strikes.

Manny needs to go to the WEC,he will never be champ, his name would hold much more weight at 145.

I really would to, I was so disappointed when his shoulder blew out.

I'd like to see him get another shot at Nate too somewhere down the line.

I got Manny defeating most of the LW's in the division. His problem is that he doesn't hold back anything, and he has no patience.

His last fight was disappointing, cuz i always see Manny at the coffee shop, but the KO was BEAUTIFUL.

I like Manny's style, he's a powerful compact guy, I'd take Tavares in this one though, could be a pretty good fight, great win for Manny too if he can get it.

But...both of Manny's wins in the UFC are by first round subs! One of them he blew out the dude's knee with a leg lock and he had to be carried out.

I think Manny will take this one. He brings an intensity that I think Tavares will not be able to contend with. Tavares, on the other hand, has a tendency to have a hard time finishing. If anyone LnP's out a decision, it will be Tavares.

Gamburyan back at UFC 94, Tavares likely

Lightweight prospect Manny Gamburyan is returning to action at the UFC’s Super Bowl weekend card, UFC 94, on Jan. 31 in Las Vegas. Gamburyan confirmed the fight to on Sunday.

Though bout agreements have not been signed, he says he has agreed to face Brazilian Thiago Tavares. Tavares’ American representatives were unavailable for comment.

Gamburyan, 27, has gone 2-1 in the UFC since an injury loss to Nate Diaz dashed his chance at winning the fifth season of “The Ultimate Fighter.” The Armenian fighter caught another piece of bad luck at UFC 87, losing by quick knockout to fellow Ultimate Fighter 5 alum Rob Emerson.

Tavares, 23, is coming off two losses, most recently to Kurt Pellegrino at UFC 88. Despite impressive performances in all showings, the Brazilian has a .500 record in the Octagon with three wins and three losses.

“He’s a phenomenal fighter,” Gamburyan said. “I’m really happy I’m fighting him. With a good victory, that’s going to put me on top for sure.”

    Tavares is my pick
