I wasn't stating he hasn't fought anyone like Lesnar. Just pointing out that Fedor's actual words look to have been twisted a bit.

Fedor himself might think that he's fought guys like Lashley and Lesnar before.

    Erm? Really?

Lesnar finished his amateur career as a two-time NJCAA All-American, 1998 NJCAA Heavyweight Champion, two-time NCAA All-American, two-time Big Ten Conference Champion, and the 2000 NCAA heavyweight champion with a record of 106–5 overall in four years of college.

Mark Coleman wrestled for Miami University, in Ohio, where he was a two time Mid-American Conference wrestling champion. In his senior year, he transferred to Ohio State University and won an NCAA championship. Out of college, The Antidote was awarded a spot on the US Wrestling team, placing second (100 kg) at the 1991 FILA Wrestling World Championships in Varna, Bulgaria, and placing seventh overall in the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain.

Doesn't look like it to me.

Plus Coleman is a LHW frame. Brock would bench the guy. And if you wana see how Fedor did vs a straight Wrestler then check out the Randleman fight again. He was manhandled, slammed on his head and then managed to turn things round and slap on a Kimura. And Randleman was another guy who was a LHW and under 6'0 essentially the same frame as Fedor.

He's never fought a wrestler of that size and that power before. I'm not saying he wouldn't beat Brock here. I'm saying this is a question that Fedor hasn't answered yet, he may well have that answer sitting in his pocket but it's yet to be proven either way.

Lesnar vs Mir II was a complete domination. Who seriously takes a top HW's arm and just places it where ever he wants it and then pounds the guys face in with his other hand? Brock is a freakshow but a freakshow with real talent and that's what make him potentially scary.
+1 Lesnar is still green in my opinion, but with his physical attributes he brings a good skill set along with his wrestling ability. With Mir he worked a Half Nelson Pry which can go into a neck crank, but he chose to take some anger out on Mir's face.

I would believe that Lesnar's chin needs to tested a bit more and with the added experience from a few more fights that will get worked out. Aside from luck the person to takes Fedor down is going to need to bring something to the table that most other fighters do not have.

I think MMAbay is bullshitting with fedors answer because from a previous thread a couple weeks ago I read this...

"Fedor: Yes of course, if they propose to me those bouts then sure. Lashley is now under contract with Strikeforce...(makes a long pause), I am sorry, what is the name of the other one? Ah yes Lesnar. He is the current UFC champion, and I would like to face him as well. The bouts with them are possible"
Which is why we do not allow MMABay articles.

    This is getting noob jacked.

Dude Lesnar would probably eat Coleman alive in a pure wrestling match. Lesnars physical attributes and skillsets combined would be too much of a barrier for Coleman to deal with especially with his recent decline.

Not even Randy Couture could deal with Brock and even admitted on camera during the post fight interview with Rogan that Brock is just too damn big.

Does Brock have holes in his game? Ofcourse he does but so does every fighter walking on two legs. No fighter is perfect.

Too easy to just shout out a Mir loss as though it means something nowerdays :-

ie Sylvia and Petey Williams. Both top notch subs off his back.

Lesnar vs Mir II was a complete domination. Who seriously takes a top HW's arm and just places it where ever he wants it and then pounds the guys face in with his other hand? Brock is a freakshow but a freakshow with real talent and that's what make him potentially scary.

He manhandled a guy who's 6'3 and big. Fedor is 6'0 and small for a HW.

This can be looked at two ways. Either Fedor can utilize his speed and ability to manoeuvre underneath a big guy like Brock to slap on his lightning arm bars from beneath.

OR Brock is too big and just too strong and can power out of things, which Brett kind did in Fedors last fight. Fedor was thrown about by a LHW wrestler in Randleman, didn't do a lot of good for Randleman but he still threw him about a bit. Now take that size, skill and power and multiply it as Randlemans essentially a LHW frame.

It's an interesting question for which we currently have no answer. Do look forward to finding out though.
