    The Return Of......
Good Bye Strikeforce...............you gave it a good shot. but then you went and bit off more than you could chew trying to do the one thing you claim your not, which is compete with the ufc on a higher level.

i have always said there will not be another promotion to rival the ufc until japan gets there act together and sorry but strikeforce isnt the answering

they cant even properly promote a card in there home state, let alone there home country. how in the hell are they going to promote one in japan, with everyone elses hands in the cookie jar, and not lose money??? i find it hard to believe strikeforce has the money or clout to pull this off, so its someone else (M1 or yakuza) backing the card which means they get the bigger piece of the revenue.

as far as taking the guys who are always involved in the roids conversations.......i would call it convenient, and gives them both a good chance to juice.....but i couldnt call it the reason. not with it being 1 fight. you go to japan you gotta take the big names with you and there 2 of the biggest names in japan. its smart for money, its just not money that i think strikeforce will ever see. now if all of there fights happen oversea's then i will still think its for money purposes but i will be inclined to believe its to try and salvage what ever money they can by not having there tournament blow up in there face due to PEDs. but one fight card proves nothing to that effect, its just something to keep in the back of your mind while looking for trends.

on a brighter side note, i could see a pride like organization coming out of all of this. maybe im just dreaming

The k1 GP's don't happen in one night. Neither did any of the Pride GP's except for the 2000 one.

Hmmm, soo Coker wants to host the other part of the HWGP in Japan, with both Overeem and Barnett fighting. How shocking that its working out this way.

I thought 2011 would be the year that AO would be fighting in the States a lot more, and proving with each bout that he is substance free. But I guess, Coker is doing him a favor, and Barnett too. This will be an ongoing discussion whether or not if both do advance and end up fighting in Japan again in their next bouts.

This is actually HUGE news. But,as SF enters Japan, the Yakuza enter SF, and not in the same polite manner. The UFC has not been able to enter this market for various reasons, if SF is willing to overlook those issues then it could bring them some serious viewers, but it can also bring them some headaches.
