i really believe this will be a demolition, also shogun has been out for a while and we have seen how that effects him in the past.
Man oh man, the boards are going to implode, explode, whatever it may be when Bones beats Shogun @ 128.....

got nothing against shogun but jones is a freak
Jones may be a freak on nature and he sure looks good beating people up who have no real striking ability. Facing Shogun is a different can of worms that Jones doesn't want to open!
If Jones decides to stand with Shogun he will take a beating like no other. Jones has to use his size and grapling to win this. He may try his reverse elbow move on Bonnar but trying his fancy stuff with shogun will make for a short night for Jones.
Don't get me wrong, I think Jones is the next generation and a future champion but an In shape and injury free focused Shogun is a nightmare for anybody at 205.

    If the fight stays standing-Shogun
If Jones can take him down at will-Jones.

^^ yeah thats a pretty brutal way to go about winning a tournament lol

Shogun is a scary mofo when he's on, Jon Jones better hope he comes in with a lack of cardio or a bum knee

that was also one of my favs one of the few fights that go the distance and u want to see 5 rnd then watch the replay immediately after. the talent they could put into a tourney was much greater then before the success of ufc and theyre stict contracts. i think if strikeforce does this in all their weightclasses theyll attract more talent and viewers which would be awsome, then maybe ufc would catch on and bring it back. imagine a 205 tourney in ufc

    goodtimes
I said it when they first announced this fight; Jones is now what Shogun was 6 years ago. There is an injury factor with Shogun, but if he can be in as good shape as he was against Machida I don't think Jones has much of a chance.

because i'm so much of a nuthugger for shogun, i'll watch all four of his tourni fights in a row from time to time. they're all stellar... but my favorite moment is when he hops over arona's head and knocks him out with that barrel full of hammerfists.

and the shogun/nog fight had the superman punch into the guard bit.

    memorable moments:

(jesus, no wonder rampage is ducking shogun)

That tournament was just all out phenomenal. Loved it! Wish we could see more one day tournaments, but I wont complain. I'm happy with where we are at today in the sport.

Nobody can take away our memories of PRIDE tho! Cheers to past legendary fights and to many more to come.
