I'm glad I'm not the only one that found that picture of him at least semi-sadomasochistic...

Maybe Fitch - Sanchez 2. That first fight was very close.
I'd rather see Sanchez move back down to LW. I think he's a legit contender there, at 170 he is just a notch below the top 3 or 4 guys.
A motivated and invigorated Sanchez is still easily a top-5/top-7 welterweight in the world. He probably is never going to wear UFC gold, but if that's your benchmark as a fan, you're going to be disappointed more than 99% of the time. I think top-7 or so is still pretty damn good. And the path back to proving that starts in a week against Martin Kampmann, a fighter for whom hardcore fans have had a hard-on for years.
WAR Diego Sanchez.
Yeah the John Hathaway fight was a complete bust, reminded me of Leben/Rosholt.
I dont understand how he can go down to LW with no problem and knock off some real contenders there, lose to BJ, then he just gets demoralized? I know it happens, I just dont see why he left LW in the first place, he looked good there.
If im not mistaken this isnt the first time Diego has had "to find himself" and got "re-invented", maybe the dude just isnt there 100% mentally? It happens.
Sanchez/Kampmann should be a good one tho. If a 100% Diego comes out I see no way Kampmann can stop it from going to the mat. Once there Diego is relentless, It all just depends if Diego has it in him to dictate the pace of the fight.
That pic of him looks like auto erotic asphyxia's going on or somethin'.......not that I know anything about that stuff.....
I heard he was going to change it to Diego (king of pop) Sanchez, because he is Michael Jackson wierd.
Don't mind him trying to be more positive however people don't get to choose their own nickname. He seems to be very much like Penn in the sense that at one point he had so much hype and momentum behind him that he won or gained a significant advantage before fights even began.
Glad to see things are coming together for him. I was never a huge fan of his because of how into himself I always thought he was, but seems like he's really been through some hard times and come out of them for the better. Plus he's always been a hell of an exciting fighter, whether you like him or not.
Looking forward to seeing how these changes will effect his career. Hope it's for the best.
Diego "El Fuego" Sanchez
he's got to get by the hitman first; i love both of these fighters so iam kind of bummed they have to fight eachother. Im taking Kampmann in this fight and would love to see B.J. vs Kampmann especially for a title. But i wouldnt be too sad if Diego won either.
Bout the only way I see Penn winning the WW title.
