So...diego doesn't want negativity in his life, so he changes his crappy nickname from the nightmare to [one of the few available even crappier nicknames:] the dream. But then he goes on twitter and talks smack? To a fighter he allegedly beat?

I'm struggling to find consistent logic there.

I'm going to have to say ineffective aggression, not just aggression. I had diego throwing more strikes total and whiffing on the bulk of them, and getting stuffed on a dozen takedowns before he finally scored one.

I'm still stunned at him talking shit. It's kind of like getting a gift that you don't deserve...you know, like somebody makes you a really nice sandwich. Would you go and find a homeless person to eat it in front of? And then say that you've rid your life of negativity?

I didn't watch the fight with the sound on, so I have no idea what Rogan said or didn't say. I had Kampman winning the fight, without question.

I don't think it's a big deal, in that neither of them are better than the fringes of top 10 WW, anyway...but I'm stunned the punkass twitter move.

Or how about "effectively striking his opponents fists with his face", I always liked that one.

i wish people would stop judging me for really, really not liking diego sanchez. he's so self righteous he thinks he always has the moral highground on everyone, when he comes off as a narcissistic prick.

Diego won by Aggression and Octagon control only??

Not trying to be a douche dude. But did you think that Leben won against Bisping? Because thats exactly what you described, but Leben lost. I myself dont think that just walking forward warrants any "points".

Im sure I dont need to recap the rules for everyone but Striking and Grappling are the top criteria, with the word effective in front of them.

Bisping effectivley outstruck Leben, while Leben just walked forward and swang or "pushed the action", and Bisping won. But Kampmann outstruck( or just "backed up and jabbed"), while Diego "pushed the action". And yet the agressor wins this fight.

So what do you agree with?

I dont agree that if Fighter A just walks forward and swings big punches, but ultimatley Fighter B outstruck and outgrappled Fighter A. That somehow Fighter A wins, thats some fucked up shit right there imo! Leben/Bisping, Nam/Garcia, Diego/Kampmann are all good examples of these types of fights.

And Leben, Garcia and Diego lost those fights imo*.

    Rep'd!(oops maybe next time)

(Jmo, obviously the fact is Diego and Nam won the decisions. Its not like im terribley hurt over the results or anything, just I've had this exact same debate before and never really got much of an answer. Just more like Fightmetric sucks, Pillowfist this, pushing the pace that.)

Kampmann lost himself the fight by backing up so much. Diego won by pushing the action and the judges didn't think that Kampmann's jabs did the damage that it showed

i can see how people would give the irst fight either way, but i just dont think walkin into a counter strikers, counter strikes, warrant you a dec. so i thought kampman won. I wouldnt mind an immidate rematch, honestly, i know it was a draw, but id rather watch diego kampman, then fitch penn again

I like Diego, but he looked FAT for that fight. I dont know why that was, after all that talk about him focussing on strength and how he never wanted to be outworked again, I expected him to come in with a body like Thiago Alves. If its true that he didnt train any boxing at all, then thats just plain stupid. NEVER put all your eggs in 1 basket. If he actuallly comes in looking in shape and has trained his standup, I think he could make a much more convincing fight against Kapman.

    Kimbo> Rampage
diego struggles with more skilled fighters bj, fitch, etc and kampmann doesnt do well against guys with power like daley, nate, etc. both are good ww's will make for some great fights to let contenders prove themselves but dont see either getting a title shot anytime soon.

He won... EASY? His face told us otherwise. I don't even care if you think Deigo won, not a chance he won it easily.

Like Left said this has been done to death. I had it 29-28 Kamp
