Whoever thought that and started to get it into motion should be fired.

I doubt we will see Tim ever again in the UFC but honestly does anyone care? The guy would get blasted by 80% of the HWs on the roster right now.
If you take out Barnett and Bigfoot, Sylvia would be the best guy Cormier has faced. It wouldn't be such a stretch, and it would be marketable in that "odd strikeforce keth jardine fighting for a title because he used to be in the UFC" kinda way.

I would love seeing Tim back in the UFC just based off his name, wouldn't mind seeing him fight Struve. I think he would have been a good name to have on Daniel's record also, but for Daniels level of talent, having him fight Tim is an insult. Having him fight Tim doesn't put him anywhere closer to a title shot and it really doesn't put him any higher on the rankings.

Actually I think Bellator would eat him alive..........never mind Tim.

Did everyone forget Sylvia got KTFO by Abe Wagner last year? So not only has he not beaten anyone close to UFC caliber, but he has a recent loss to a 10-6 journeyman that was bad on TUF.

Tim just get signed by Bellator and win the title. Then when the UFC makes you an offer, tell em to shove it. Tim has a chance to build his brand in Bellator, it's true the opposition may not be at the same level as the UFC, but those guys fight fucking hard in those tourneys. Winning a Bellator means more and more after every season of amazingly entertaining fights. Tim could enjoy being the first UFC and Bellator champion and retire with a smile on his face having turned down an offer from Dana and the UFC. That would be the smart thing to do, because going in against guys like Cain, Dos Santos, Overreem, and Cromier is just asking for a humiliating loss and a swift cut from Dana.

Tim was very vocal about the UFC moving away from paying fighters based on talent and paying them according to their drawing ability. I don't think dana is going to forget that.

I don't think it's about Dana not liking Tim, I think it's more about Dana liking Daniel. If Daniel would have fought Tim, I can't imagine any person on this site that would say "that means nothing" when he won. Dana's right on this. Mir just had a title fight, Daniel beating him puts him in the title mix for the ufc, which he would be fighting in in his next fight.

I never liked Tim, but I feel if he strings a couple more wins together he should be invited back.
