    Wow just when I thought that card couldn't get any better...

    you'd be hard-pressed to find a PPV with a main card that good.

    Ben vs. Diaz
    Shogun vs. Goose
    BJ vs. Rory
    Cerrone vs. Pettis

    all of those fights have major implications for their respective divisions. Add to that, they are all exciting fighters. Should be good.

    long term, the biggest money is in being 100% mainstream; being the next nfl. so the ufc is positioning for that.

    i also think a lot of analysts are expecting ppv to go the way of the dinosaurs and be replaced with online ad and subscription models. and, if so, i'd say having a major network as your distribution partner will get you a lot farther than a ppv partner.

    My guess is they won't top it. The UFC seems to care more about stacking free cards than they do about stacking ppvs anymore. Whatever. It saves me money.
