You're doing a lot of "some people" or "many people" posts lately with vague allegations of this or that.

I'm not talking about what some people did or didn't do. I'm sure some people actually do hate him just because he's Black. I'm not one of them.

I thought he acted like a punkass after he made the decision not to face sonnen. I can only comment on that, and what I felt personally.

Why should he treat the fans good if they dont show him respect... He always thanks his true fans, but knows how he is viewed by the majority of the MMA community...
Jones really cares if people like him or not. If he didn't care, he wouldn't have interview after interview trying vainly to explain himself and to become well-liked. But that's only going to be so effective--or really, so ineffective--when he keeps playing a fool and saying emotional nonsense that serves to distance fans, and then going and trying to win them back later. He's his own worst enemy.

People claim he is fake... Which I can see... but it is very strange for someone to be criticized for trying to hide their cockiness.
For the record, I haven't called him fake, nor have I asked him to hide his cockiness.

If he's cocky, he's going to lose some fans who don't appreciate that. If he tries to be fake and hide it, he's going to lose others for being fake. It doesn't make a difference to me, but it seems to represent a barrier for him to be happy himself unless he determines who he wants to be and just goes out and does it.

Personally I wish he would just give the fans what they want... He should have pulled a Lebron James and said something along the lines of Criticize me all you want, I make a ton of money doing what I love.
I think you're trying to make him be something he isn't, just as the guys who don't want him to be cocky are trying to change him, just as the guys who don't want him to be fake are trying to change him. He is who he is. He's never going to make everyone happy, and that's fine. What sucks is that he seems to be unhappy while he's trying to cater to opposing ends of a spectrum.

Dammit Bendo.....
No.... He signed a contract to fight Dan Henderson... not to fight on that night....

Jackson advised him not to fight, he didnt.

It has to pay the bills first and foremost because of the time and effort these guys put into it. Can have all the passion in the world for something but if you don't have the means to dedicate yourself to it won't matter how much passion you have.

Thats Zuffas fault. Jones isn't responsible for paying everyones bills.

No, the contract was to fight HENDERSON on that night, not to just fight on that night in general.

I thought this whole spiel was done and over with?

He declined that fight out of smart decision making. If you think Sonnen had any kind of a chance at winning a fight against Jones you are a jackass. If you think Jones was afraid of Sonnen for some reason then you are just retarded.

Lots of funny things about this statement. You realize most of the time it has nothing to do with breathing?
