I'm having a hard time believing that TRT is this wonder drug people make it out to be. I mean the only guy who had been successful so far using it, is Dan Henderson and he'd been busting asses for years before TRT. I don't think it gives any fighter an advantage. I think alot of fighters are misinformed on the subject and don't care if they are. This issue will never be accepted by many fighters who don't use it.

When he said that the UFC knows he is a company man and will do whatever they ask... UFC 151 got cancelled.

Now he is speaking out against PEDs.... it is only a matter of time....

You forgot to mention the time Jones said he wouldnt give Sonnen a title shot if he got his shot through shit talking because it would devalue the what the UFC belt stands for....and what do you know, the man ended up agreeing fighting Sonnen.

Jones who ever tells you what to say wheather it's you, Jackson or whoever stop. Your feet already have many holes in them from shooting yourself in the foot.

My thought if the UFC wanted to hold the sport to higher standards. They could set the bar higher than most states and inforce it in the reduced ones over the commissions. Yes they lose a few fighters, but it should open doors to more places and be better in the long run. Atleast get the sport back to honorable status.

Im not against less regulations on athletes and fighters... but the rules need to be more unified and clearly stated if they chose to take that stance, so everyone could have that option.... Im sure a lot disagree with the rules, but dont do anything against them, because they feel its fair to follow them...

Too many times I see people say who cares if "person a" is juicing... Well give them all the chance to do so. Then I wouldnt care either... Obviousally a different topic entirely...

Either have the regulations lessened or tighten them up... but keep in mind that fairness is above all else... Dont keep them as their are now, as some guys will always look for loopholes... you are basically giving them an avenue to get an unfair advantage.

    really?

rogan went off on how there is no level playing field to begin with... as people are going to be physically different in countless ways... nobody is going to have the same levels of hormones in them...

He has a philosophy on the issue, that I dont completely disagree with... but it is moot regarding the cases in MMA now... rules are rules...

They dont even cover Sonnen's particular case at all, besides Sonnen saying "I have to take it"... Ok well take his word for it..

Then he goes on this ridiculous idea... comparing PED's to anything beneficial to one's health... medicine, vitamins, etc.. should be on the same line as something classified as a PED, since they can both improve performance...

You call that an "educated discussion on TRT"

I have two problems with TRT use in MMA right now one being where do you draw the line ?

Do you allow fighters that have abused steroids in the past the right to use it because of the long term complications they created using them?

Do you allow people that have caused the need for TRT because of continual long term weight cutting at times to great extremes?

Do we allow everyone that comes in with low level tests to automatically use?

Secondly there is little to no checks in place for the allowances being made. No one is being tested outside of competition on a regular basis. This is a problem in general as far as PED's go but anyone that gets this exemption should be tested on a regular basis. The actual testing and diagnosis is handled by doctors not affiliated with the commissions instead athletes are using personal doctors allowing the opportunity for abuse. There are way to many shady doctors out there willing to do anything for a pay cheque (see Overeem's doctor). If something like this going to be allowed much better checks and balances need to be in place over the current systems or it shouldn't be allowed at all.

So he doesn't feel the same at 25 as he did at 20? What is he, old and wise at 25, reminiscing way back when he was just 20 and "giddy"?
