I see it as the UFC not knowing what they want Rashad to do. Stay at 205 or go to 185.

I like this fight. I think either man can win, but I will pick Rashad as a UD.

Ok LW love ya but gotta disagree.

Little nog has finished dan henderson, beat allistair overeem 2x, beat tito ortiz, and lost a decision to shogun. I know the tito ortiz on is the only recent one, but lets not sleep on little nog. He is legit.

That said Sugar probably wins a ud.

    edit: he also beat sakuraba

Not a fight that makes a lot of sense at the moment. Nog has been sitting for so long and wasn't looking that great in his fights prior. He should be getting someone a little more middle of the rankings like say Vera.

I'd much rather see Rashad against one of the top guys or looking at a fight that brings him down to MW. They should have matched him and Sonnen up in my opinion.

    Glad someone agrees.

It's called being intrigued. Intrigued by what would be a very interesting display of stand up on the feet...which happens to be alot more interesting than what would likely happen if Rashad were able to take Nog down. Nog would probably just neutralize him for the most part and it would be a stale mate.

Yeah he has a hurt knee I believe, he was supposed to fight Gustafsson way back.

fighters definitily have to play into their strengths and gameplans, but fans have every right to be disappointed by a match up that will likely not be excitable. its certainly not a surprise rashad being heavily favored though. little nog has been kind of just been hanging around the middle of the division.

I like both guys too but its a fight that needs to happen at least for lil nog. He's been pretty much just lingering around in the division almost as a stepping stone for new prospects (Davis, Bader, and I think he was even supposed to fight Goose but got injured).

People like to say he's overhyped but I don't think so. Imho he got robbed in the Davis and Bader fights, but I think he lost against Brilz. He's shown very improved tdd as well and has some nice sweeps from the bottom. I think lil nog will do a lot better than we expect him to, even if he doesn't pull off the upset.

I wanna see a stand up fight for this fight. I'll be pissed if Rashad takes him down at will every round and wins 30-27.
