I don't know if I can agree with this. If you are referring to when he called A.Silva p4p when Fedor was still fighting, you can make the case and it'll still hold the argument today.

Anderson said at his press conference that he would possibly fight Jones if he fought GSP... That seems to be his plan...

When asked if the GSP fight doesnt happen, he said he would fight Bisping or Weidman.

Anderson cares about his legacy more than he lets on.... He knows that GSP and Jones are his direct competition.... GSP is right with him now, and Jones could someday soon be considered in that light.

It seems he either wants to fight both of them, or neither of them... That is exactly how it should be.

the GSP fight obviously needing to happen first.
    This ^^

Open Weight Tournament. You guys didn't like these? Fighters fight regardless of weight! Wooo!

    Make GSP vs. Anderson...

    then make Anderson vs. Jones

Anderson eluded to his plans in his press conference... SET UP BY THE UFC.

It would be unfair to make him fight Jones, while GSP doesnt have to move up... What will they make GSP wait until one of the LW champions' sets themselves apart again...

If you put weight on a smaller fighter he gains strength, and loses speed, and the opposites are true if you take size away from a bigger fighter. If you do these things then you don't even have the same fighters you started out with. Would JDS be great, and have devastating power if he got zapped down to 155? Would Edgar be so quick if he reemed up to heavyweight? You can't change something that screws with a fighter's calling card, and then still consider them the same fighter.
    Wow well said dude.

And let's not forget we had another matchup between 2 of the all time greatest p4P fighters ever between Fedor and Hendo.

I don't mind a Silva and GSP fight but I would hate to see one of the fighters (GSP) being forced into a matchup because the UFC and the entire Anderson Silva entourage want to make some serious bank.
Great point. Everyone was clamoring for this fight, even Dana, and now that it's set,... crickets.
