Pasha K The Vitor fight he took the most damage of all his fights though with the arm bar.

I agree going into that fight I didn't think Vitor had much of a chance past 30 sec and with punchs not grappling and submission.

Yeah, when I said "easy road" for Jones, I just mean the Chael fight (and kinda the Vitor fight too). Other than those 2 fights, he has fought the very best fighters in LHW division.

The Sonnen Jones fight is way undeserved but it is growing on me. Chael is smart and will come up with a good game plan and bring it. He still loses decisevely IMO.

To those who are saying that people won't fight Jones need to add they won't fight him on short notice. They want the full time to prepare for him. Which seems like a reasonable request since they had already lost once to him.
Oh, I thought Pash meant that Jones has taken a easy road to get to where he is now. If he just means Sonnen, I agree. Since Jones is waiting til next April to fight, he should be getting the winner of Hendo vs Machida IMO.... not the guy who lost to the champ a whole weight class lower

I noticed alot of American people say "sales" instead of "sells". Am I missing something?

I have very mixed emotions here. On one hand like most all MMA fans I want to see GSP/Diaz but at the same time Diaz comming off a loss and suspended? I dont think if the fight does take place it should be a title fight. Hendricks deserves the shot period! If you notice it is the same ones that say a fighter should not be considered for title shot untill the have a string of wins against top contendersthat support Diaz getting one. What message are we sending? Forget the hard work to the top just be a major asshole and you will get the shot.
On a lighter note when it happens as we all know Dana loves the super fights,I hope GSP lights Diaz up far worse than he did Kos.

Very well put MIZ. I also believe Hendo's training is set to peak the same time if Sonnen can't go. Problem with Sonnen if he loses this fight what do ya do with him? Yes he sales fights but he will have lost every championship fight, and it would be even more of a joke trying Sonnen Jones II.

In fact, I think the notion of fighters who play it safe is wildly overblown and just an excuse for people to bitch about fighters they don't like. Diaz, certainly, has earned nothing other than a regular fight and a chance to prove that he can perform his press duties and not get suspended.
Yeah, Condit didn't play it safe against Diaz at all. Neither did Jon Fitch for all those years he was a top 5 contender. Neither does GSP.

Originally the sport of MMA was designed to determine who the best martial artist was not who was best at winning decisions. Diaz fights a lot like the pioneers of the sport. Some of the other guys you mentioned do as well, but lets not pretend the big money hasn't lead to a lot of conservative style changes.

Talk is cheap, he said he wont fight Machida because he doesn't sell as many ppvs. With Sonnen he gets an easier fight and bigger payday.

I'm holding out hope that he has to pull out and Hendo fills in.
