I was more refering to what Goodtimes posted. Saying that bated middle finger enabled him to get back to his feet.

My thoughts are that nate can definitely fight better.

But they gotta do more kickboxing and drill takedown defense a shitload at Cesar Gracies. Seems like they are just into rolling alot for their grappling, I doubt they actually switch in fresh guys and make Nate/Nick constantly defend takedowns over and over and over. And I know they love their boxing but this is mma and Nate's kicks and knees are pretty useless. Nick is actually starting to do a bit better with his kicks, though.

In that 1st round it was pretty much a stalemate in the grappling department for most of the round, they were jockying back and fourth for position and both guys were landing knees and short punches. Then Bendo started landing kicks, socked Nate in the eye, started getting deep in the clinch, and from there Nate was screwed. I also think he was just cool with trying out the ground game when he was having the trouble on the fence he was starting to have.

Anybody else think Nate had a pretty good position with that kneebar in the 3rd round? Seemed like he had it pretty good but then he switched to a heel hook. I wonder if it's because Ben's legs are massive, or because he just likes the heel hook more.

So, really flipping him the bird basically got the fight back to the feet when Diaz wanted it to go back to the feet, and he didn't have to expend any energy doing it. That's some effective psychological warfare.

You take the topic of Nate Diaz giving the middle finger to another fighter during a live Fox telecast, and turn it into a chance to bash Dana White.

You sir, should a be politician.

you dont really believe that do you? you dont think it had anything to do with benson being in the splits, and not having a good top position?

If Fox was truly rattled than their not to smart. It's easier to count fights either Daiz is in were no finger is thrown.
MMA is a sport were the arts teach respect originally any how, and if a rule applies inforce it. Disrespect takes away from the sport and helps hold doors closed to new area's, but America is involved now so there's more drama for the sake of the mighty dollar.
