He just needs some time off. It kinda seems like he never had the time he really needed to get over his friends death. Some time away from the gym/fight camps and then in some time see if he still has that fire or he's done done.

Mark is pure class and a gentleman by all accounts. Would love to see him in an ambassador role, work with Tom Wright to help grow the UFC here in Canada.

This blows! He almost won the title, catches a bad KO from the Korean Zombie, has a bs split decision loss to Yagin, and a loss to the fuckin twiggy alien Trevor. He could have come back.

I'm not happy about this but I wish him the best.

He was just never to come back from his best friend passing away. Sad man.

    Mark Hominick retires..........

I was quite surprised to hear this..........

Only 30 years old, and probably gave Aldo his toughest fight yet.........looked to have a lot of promise, even though he started going downhill after that fight.

Think so ? I think this retirement has been in the making for a while now he just wanted to see if he could get that one last win in.

best of luck to hominick and his family. i've always enjoyed watching him compete. to this day, i still don't think anybody brought it to aldo like mark did. I always liked his style and personality.
