I agree. Some of these women have more heart than the men.

I would love to see the look on their faces if Ronda gets absolutely wrecked in the debut.

It's never going to be as big as men's but if someone bothered to do some half decent marketing and really made a run at it, who knows? I mean how about some focus groups? serious marketing strategies? why not dump a few mil into this thing and see if there is really a large enough market in it? I'm not sure how many orgs have really done that. I think women who like MMA might find some appeal in it, me I can appreciate how hard these ladies work at it, it's hard for a woman to not "hit like a girl" so I can bet they drill technique more than most men do. There have been a few great wars in Wmma, and I think we will see the talent pool expand as more women who normally would have done TMA, Boxing, kickboxing, or grappling look into trying MMA. The women are out there....

lol, sounds like when Ronda finally loses, instead of putting the title around the new champion's waist, they'll just fold up the division.

So what does that mean if she looses? Dana is putting a lot of pressure on her.

On the surface, it seems pretty crazy that they would base this division's success on one fight, but at the same time I don't think Zuffa feels that this is much of a risk in the long run. They have to believe that there will be a lot of buys just out of curiosity or just to see the first female UFC fight.

If it draws badly or interest falls off quickly, they'll just cut ties very quickly. I just don't see Zuffa as a company that cares how that will look from a P.R. standpoint at all.
