can someone explain this rep. thing to me? i'm new and have just been checking around and i see everyone has a different rep....how does that work?

You have to have 25 rep before you can create a new post anywhere other than Noob Jack (but you can reply to posts already created anywhere, which is probably where you're going to get your rep). People give you rep when they like what you say, you bring up a good point, you find some MMA news and post it here that someone else hadn't found, etc...

It took me a few to figure out what was going on, I kept trying to post new things and I was like WTF! Still getting a feel for all the in's and out's of the boards.
