| expanding HW weight restrictions
does anybody else think that the 265 limit in the ufc should be moved up to around 300 so that heavier fighters dont have to kill themselves to make weight

I wouldn't raise it. But add super heavy division @ 265 - ~300

agreed, in time tho, remember they didnt add the 55 division too long ago. 45 first then the superheavyweights.

I do not know how to fix the situation but i think people like Bob Sapp and BB should be able to compete against the big names as well. As much as some people like or dislike Sapp and BB they both have that KO power and could win at anytime. I think it just sucks, more so for someone like Sapp who is never going to get below 350 nevermind 300. Thats because of his body makeup. BB on the other hand could loose some weight, How much I do not know. Just sucks IMO for fighters like this.

Athletic commissions would not be very likely to allow a fight with a 100lb weight gap. That's just not going to happen.
Maybe a SHW division, but even that isn't super likely. To me, this is like theEliteXC idea of adding a handful of new weight classes. Sure it sounds like a good idea, but it isn't really going to add that much to your organization.
UFC should concentrate on the divisions they have now, before they start thinking about adding new ones.

Yeah the better choice would be to split HW at 206-245 246-300
The problem is right now HW is still semi thin. Sure there is alot of talent but that required the UFC picking up damn near everyone, so splitting it could thin out the division too much

Nope they are having a hard time getting quality HW's as it is. Bumping it up to 300 would only cause an influx of fat people.
Think about it? How many athletic big men do you know? Even NFL O lineman are a bit on the chubby side even though they are super strong studs on the field.
