Well Rashad was showboating in the octagon during a fight (I think someone has a gif of that somewhere here). That's what Hughes was really upset about.

That's different than celebrating in the ring after his teammate pulled an upset and won. He was happy and was carrying on his back the disappointments of his team losing like six fights in a row.

No harm, no foul in my book.
But Serra is consistent and he backs up his insults. Hughes on the otherhand, pretends as if he is above Serra but in the end, he does the same. At least Serra is upfront about everything doesnt pretend.

Serra was right to bash the guy who left the show. Dont you agree? When he refused to corner his guys, he had a good reason. He has principles that he sticks with. All the crap was towards Hughes arrogance and Serra's been consistent since day one. There are guys who were on that show that were in Hughes team who said the same thing. How did Hughes shut him up? Danzig said Hughes' training were not effective and his BJJ was elementary. How did Hughes shut up Serra? Serra was the better coach of the two for sure.

I really don't agree. I think Serra is a little too caught up into his fued with Hughes, while Hughes is simply looking to be champ.

BILLWILLIAMS 70 hit the nail on the head. I don't see Matt's actions as gloating or hypocritical at all. He was excited for his fighters to make the finals. Sure he is ultra competitive and wants to beat Serra, but Hughes has been the classier act all season long. I know I would sure be ecstatic to win and know that I don't have to go into the finals and hear Serra yelling "Breathe... Breathe... that's it... good.... from the other corner for every second of every round.

Only a few more weeks until GSP kicks his head off again. What will Hughes say then?

Anyways, does anyone else think Matt hughes was acting like an idiot after Speer won the fight?

He first waves his guys to run into the cage and just go nuts when George is still passed out just behind them. Wasn't Hughes all about sportsmanship and no showboating?

Also, when everyone is celebrating Tommy's win, he says "it is not about who wins in the beginning but about who wins in the end", which is alluding to his battle with Serra. I mean, Tommy just KTFO Georges, this is his moment and yet, he finds a way to speak about himself.

I just thought Hughes looked like an idiot.
wut an assclown comment, i dont even think it deserves to be in noob jack city. To tell u the truth, i freaking lost my mind when tommy won, i was very happy and if i was there i prolly wulda dun back flip off the roof of the building to a tripple sow cow into the cage and lifted tommy. It wasnt disrespect, he just beat a heavy favorite and hughes desrved to cheer after all the smack talking serra did about how he was down. Hughes cant be happy for his fighter, but serra can run his mouth and immitate hughes all season and ur not gunna say one ill thing about serra? And of course hes going to say "its about who wins in the end" at one point danzig felt like giving up becuz nobody on his team wuld win and now team hughes won the whole freaking thing.

Whata waste of a thread

I can't believe what a 180 everyone has pulled lately. Is it because Serra beat GSP that he gets a free pass for acting like a complete jackass for the last year?! I don't understand how Hughes has everything he says completely picked apart and over-analyzed while Serra can say whatever moronic meat-head pizza grease inspired pile of shit he wants to and everyone just laughs. Two years ago Hughes could have eaten a live jewish baby on national TV and the fans would've defended him to the end. Now he isn't even allowed to be happy and celebrate when his teammate wins a fight, or his fighers eliminate team Serra and both advance to the finals.... Look, say what you want but noone can argue that the two fighters on team Hughes who conducted themselves professionally, listened to what Hughes told them and acted as if they'd ever been in a cage before won all their fights and made it to the finals. The ones who did exactly the opposite, lost. I hardly think that Matt Serra yelling "breathe!... Breathe... you're breathing there.... this whole time you're breathing!... There you go!... Nice breathing!..." had a whole lot to do with the outcome of the fights he won this season. I've said it before and I'll kepp saying it: Don't let Matt Serra influence your thinking! He's basically just a troll who is fueled by pepperoni pizza and is trying to make the most of his fifteen minutes of fame and build business for his Long Island jiu jitsu schools...
