He needs some solid wins going ahead now.
If he gets about 5 wins next against decent opponents, i see him fighting for #1 contendership

One. Two at the most. Do you guys honestly think theyd make him fight 3,4,or even 5 times to get a title shot???? For shits sake,he had ONE win before UFC and that scored him a muli-fight deal worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, and a co-main event spot agaisnt a former world champ. With a name like his,he wont be fighting 5 fights before a shot. If he wins one or two of his next fights,we could very well see Lesnar vs Nog/Herring/Kongo/Whoever for the heavyweight strap

Is it right? No. Will it make UFC lots of money and possibly create one of the most marketable heavyweight champs ever?? yes.

Personally I think he should still be fighting smaller shows. A jump this big isnt good. Hes going from no fights to fighting world champs in a matter of not even 2 years.

Id pair him up with no names/cans for his next 2 fights, give him the loser of Herring/Kongo,an boost him into a title fight.

Thatd be the smart thing to do atleast. Money wise.

now competition wise? Give him Vera next, then the loser of Kongo/Herring THEN someone like Sylvia,Arlovski,or Cro Cop. THEN a title shot.

My synopsis:

Brock has power and wrestling skills but is still sloppy. He needs to worry less about the crowd and more about the opponent. When he adds patience, precise striking and more BJJ to his arsenal, he will be unstoppable.

He was rushed and sloppy which gave Mir the opportunity he needed to finish him.

IHe was throwing so fast and wildly that he got himself in trouble with the illegal shots to the back of the head. It looked accidental as Mir was moving, but again that's where patience and precision come into play.

Well, his title shot is definately pushed back now. I say give him 2 easy fights to win and build his confidence and reputation back up, then put him in a #1 contendership matchup against a top 10 opponent. His inexperience and wildness was obvious in his fight with Mir. Experience, patience and good trainers will solve that problem.

Wasnt a bad fight for Lesner. It showed exactly what he is a huge bundle of raw talent that could one day be dominant. However this was an example of someone getting out experienced. I really disagree with Mazagatti's call for taking points for the back of the head blows (cause of several fights in the past few months they've almost seemed to be legal) but that's also brocks fault (even if he wasnt warned in the fight), you have to be patient like Steel said. I look forward to see him fight again. Next time I hope they put him with a guy closer to his experience level and a striker. I would really like to see him go toe to toe with someone.
