This question appears to have been posed on Sherdog as well back in 2007 and earlier.
Here is the answer given by some guy who has since been banned....so take it for what it's worth:

The story of Beaver Beaver (born Chris Robert Altman)
Chris was birthed by a Philipino mother, his father was a native american. Chris had a rough childhood and got into lots of trouble growing up - he was known to engage in many a fist fight. Later in life, Chris, struggling to get by, was desperately searching for a stable career. He had no significant education, being a highschool dropout, so he decided to do what he had grown up doing - fighting. He started out in small no-holds-barred underground matches. He quickly earned the name "Beaver" because of his love thereof, he was known to take home several women after each bout using nearly all of the meager pay.
Eventually, Chris was forced to officially change his first and last names to Beaver after falling into financial trouble with a Mob Boss who had involvement with the organization of one of his underground tournaments. It was at this point that he decided he needed to find the bigger shows. Chris today is still searching for that big show - he has had little success, but continues to pursue his dream of one day fighting in the UFC.

My guess is that it is BS. Chris Lytle fought at Bad Boy Competition against Mike Haltom on November 24, 2000 defeating him in the first round by ???...then, same night goes up against Beaver Beaver and beat him in an unknown round and defeated him by an unknown move?
Makes you wonder who puts that info on Sherdog and wikipedia....is it Lytle or his manager or some sherdog kids?
Here is the event:
BBC Bad Boy Competition Results, Fight Card, News, Videos, Pictures, and more
Here it says Lytle beat Mike Haltom by Submission (Strikes) in round zero...the 2nd fight of the night. Then he fights Beaver Beaver the 4th fight of the night, while the opponent he defeated, Mike Haltom, fights again after getting submitted due to strikes twice....the 3rd fight and the 6th fight of the night.
I expect stat padding.
