He has been impressive thus far, I don't see a reason why he wouldn't get a title shot in a thin division.

I highly doubt he's going to be the Machida of the division. The reason Lyoto hasn't gotten a title shot is because UFC doesn't consider his style to be fan-friendly, however, Cain's style is fan friendly. He's aggressive, beats people down and is looking for a finish right off the bat.

Lesnar had a big following prior to being in the UFC. Cain didn't... so he obviously has to work his way up like any other fighter who is not a big name or named Brock. Cain is getting a title shot in late 2009 or early 2010 if he keeps winning. There's an average of 3 title fights a year in a division (as long as they dont get wrapped up in a TUF series or the champ doesn't walk out). If that's the case then the following fights will happen:
- 1st fight - Winner of Mir/Nog vs Winner of Brock/Randy
- 2nd fight - vs Werdum
- 3rd fight - either Valasquez or one of the losers from the 1st fight (as long as they keep winning)
