| Quick thoughts on Brock, new free agents and why Anderson may lose to Cote...
New Free Agents:
I want to see all the heavyweights go to the UFC, they are my favorite organization, and they really need to expand that division more than any other right now. It's taken too many hits over the last year. The new prospects, acquisitions and Randy's return are great, especially with the new TUF season, but, it's still nowhere near what the light heavy weight division is in terms of stacked. Mainstream loves a heavyweight, always have, always will.
Brock:
From a promotional standpoint, Brock is the perfect choice for champ. He has the look, the cool big guy name and the attitude to go with it. He will certainly in my opinion continue to be even more contreversial once he feels he has truely proven himself. Brock is confident for Brock, but not cocky yet. In a perfect world for UFC Brock would never lose again. As we know, there is no perfect world for UFC or MMA for anyone. Even Anderson Sylva.
Anderson Sylva:
If he never loses again, he has already had his share of non-perfect days in his career. Another one may be this Saturday, since it is a pattern in MMA and boxing, that loses come when they are least expected. I don't think many people expected Chuck to lose twice in a row, moreso with the Jaridine loss, since that was the "comeback" fight, or Tyson to Douglas, or GSP to the Brooklyn Charlie Brown, or Kimbo to Seth, or Gina to the scales. I think 95% of the people are with Anderson Sylva on this fight, as am I, but, after the Leben/Bisping show, I am expecting/hoping that something jaw dropping will happen and not in the jaw dropping fashion (yawning) that UFC 89 brought about.
Thanks for reading, all opinions welcome, good or bad. |

my only disagreement with that is that brock becoming the face of mma would be terrible. that fucker might be a badass but he doesn't deseve a title fight. he lost his ufc debut, and couldn't finish herring(althought he dominated). mma has been trying to legitimize itself for a long time and having a champion like brock would be terrible, it would make mma into a joke with eye candy like chuck(no offense to chuck he is great but he's over the hill) who needs to retire.

So you made a thread to tell us what you thought about 3 things that have NOTHING to do with each other?
Was it impossible to find a thread about Brock, Anderson, or Pro-elite folding to share your opinion? I can probably find threads for those topics on the main page.
You spelled Anderson's name wrong, asked for all the heavyweights to go to the UFC when there would be better fights elsewhere, and then said someone who just tried to ride his opponent with 3 seconds left in the fight should be the face of MMA.
I also wasn't suprised to see "Lesnar" written under your name
Your paragraph on Anderson was also a huge mess, where you pretty much said "Anderson could lose to Cote, cuz Gina didn't make weight"

A pattern necessitates knowing what will happen therefore it could not be considered an upset.

First off let me start of by saying that you crammed to much information in this thread post. I'm not quite sure on how to respond to this thread, so I will not comment at all. In the near future, you might want to focus on ONE specific topic as oppose to three that have nothing to do with the subject.

At least he gets credit for calling Serra the Brooklyn Charlie Brown, that's a pretty astute comparison.

Is it wrong that I give this post and thread a "WTF?!?!?" Is this a " I was really, really drunk" post?

lol i was distracted by spelling anderson silva's name sylva. but my opinions are, i hate brock lesnar, anderson will definitely not lose to cote... just not possible imo. and im glad the heavy weights arent in the ufc, just look at all the great match ups were getting now that the ufc lost some star players... best heavy weight matches since pride days, and absolutely stacked heavy weight cards by affliction.. my 2 cents

As much as I like Cote, the tools he brings to the table aren't beating Anderson. Anderson KOd Leben and Marquardt who had never been KOd before and dropped Iron chin Hendo to submit him. Cotes chin can't be much better than any of those three. Same level as Leben's maybe.
Anderson also has the best Muay Thai in the game, brawling is not going to work on that.
If he wants to try to out point hiom by sticking and moving.... that's highly unlikely as well. Between his reach, ability to cut off the cage, footwork, speed, and over all dancing skills. I just don't see it.
FYI Casa Pretta fighters don't take people lightly.
If Cote wins. I'll be punch myself in the nuts for being an idiot.
