[Fedorlei Gomipierre]

I'm a pretty huge MMA fan, but my main problem is that I don't know many people who know the "ins and outs" of the MMA industry and I have very few friends who are interested in the sport in general, so from time to time, I'll be posting newbie type questions that may seem silly, but I just don't know.

I believe that I'm a pretty intelligent fan regarding MMA, but there is still a whole tonne of shit that i have no clue about and don't know where to find out such rumours or whispers.

My question today regards the Baby Faced Assassin.

I really love watching this guy's fights and feel that he's just moving into his prime and am wondering why he doesn't have an opponent on the DREAM or Affliction cards and why hasn't he been brought back to UFC when he basically lost the title the same way Sylvia did and claims innocence to this day?

I mean, Barnett has demolished Monson, Yoshida and Rizzo, so who're they gonna match him up against at Affliction 2? And is he even gonna be on the card?

I heard a rumour about Roy Nelson, but that feels like a step down for Josh, although Roy's a solid fighter.

My thoughts were maybe Sylvia or Overeem or Buentello(but now he's booked for the card) and I'm just wondering why isn't one of the greatest heavyweights in the world in bigger fights(the arlovski was cancelled, true) and why the hell can't he just swall his pride or WHATEVER has gone down with he and Dana, but just end it and come back to UFC???

I think that he could really be an entertaining main eventer, but damn, why isn't he bookd on bigger cards, with better foes?

fighting Nelson would be a HUGE step backwards. i like your picks though, Overeem or Sylvia would be awesome to see. I am not to sure why Barnett isnt more popular in the US. He has that All American look and is a top 5 HW in the world. Not to mention his personality is very marketable.
