| What's with the hate for Chuck Liddell?
I have been on these forums and other's for the past couple months, and left and right, I hear most people trying to bash the fact that Liddell is too old, he can't fight anymore, and that he should go retire.
I just really wanted to know why the hate is there for Chuck Liddell.
He is a great, bad ass fighter, still has alot of potential to become a champion again, but again, and again, i see replies like he isn't going to win the title again, he needs to change his style up, just because he lost, and basically got caught by a good right hand.
No one mentioned anything when he was winning fights about this style, let's look at Wanderlei Silva. He executed the same style as he did with Rashad, Keith, and Rampage. But once again, we have the hate that Liddell needs to change his style, needs to do this and that.
I just want to basically end the non sense about this, I may get a few negative rep's, but really guys, it's not like he is going in there, and getting the beat hell out of him, and then wants to continue to fight. He is getting caught by a very good punch, with Rashad, and Rampage. It is part of the game here in MMA. When Couture lost to Liddell twice, people thought that Couture would loose when he returns against Sylvia, but in fact, he ruined Sylvia and embarrased him.
Let's look at the first round with Rashad. He clearly won the round, yeah, maybe he could go for a takedown, or whatnot, but he was implenting his gameplan, in which to pressure him, and just continue to hit him with punches.
If the fight happened where Evans beat the hell out of Liddell, and Liddell caught Evans with a good punch, there wouldn't be this hate.
Thanks to anyone who has read this artcle, I would also like to see some replies, and maybe even have a debate with a few of you.

lol why would anyone question his style if he's winning? It's not rocket science to understand that if you're losing, a lot, you need to make changes.
Your statement doesn't make a lot of sense.
And I've seen your idea of 'debate' so I don't expect much in this one either.
It's amazing, a fighter that use to dominate starts losing, is getting up there in years, and starts getting KTFO finds people saying he should retire.
Amazing

Why'd you put the body of your text in quote?
The answer to your post is quite simple. People have their own opinions about fighters. Here is where people express their opinions about fighters. If someone says Chuck Lidell isn't going to win the title again, its because that person doesn't think Chuck Lidell will win the title again.
There, easy!

OH, I get it. So being a fan means ignoring the obvious?

The obvious? I simply wrote an article, and would like to have a debate or so.
You simply are taking it too seriously. lol

Agreed. If your opponent knows exactly what you're going to do before the fight, that's to his advantage. You could say a lot of Chuck's losses were because he didn't know/was prepared for what his opponent's were going to do.

Liddell was my favorite fighter when I first got into MMA, so I am quite biased for him. He is still one of my favorite fighters to watch, but to say that he doesn't need to change his style at all is ridiculous. He has become almost one dimensional. He doesn't use his wrestling, and barely uses his kicks anymore. He is basically just a counter puncher who when taken out of his element doesn't thrive. He needs to add some elements to his game, and he might have a chance at some sort of come back, but I honestly don't see him changing enough to win the title again unless he retires and comes back for an immediate title shot.

If it is just a random thought, take it out of quotes. It makes it look like you posted an official article without posting a source.
