I was making a list of PRIDE dvds I was going to ask my financee to get me for Christmas and I keep wanting to get Shockwave 2003, but it says the Yoshida/Gracie bout was a draw, but the fight I've always loved watching online is the grappling bout where Yoshida chokes Royce the fuck out.

I love this moment and have never been able to find what goddamn card this was on.

it was on August 28, 2002 in a Bjj and Judo rules match
it was where Yoshida Choked him and the ref stoped it and Royce said he wasnt out so a year later they fought at Pride Shockwave 2003 and thats when it was a draw due to the rules of the match if im not mistaking and since the first wasnt mma rules thats why it was probably hard to find.
go to Pride FC on Wikipedia and go to the events until you find shockwave with the 8-28-02 date and you can find it. Hope thats it man

you're gunna have to download it off of megaupload. It's a great event, pity that Pride and K-1 can't agree on who gets to sell the footage. They have cool backstage stuff too on the one I downloaded, a ceremony for Helio and shit.

best chokeout EVER!!! I now know that this is Shockwave 2002 thanks to help from the board, but honestly, this is such a sick sick SICK chokeout and IMO, is a great reasoning as to why Yoshida should've been in the UFC during his prime!!

Ridiculous chokeout and a plain murdering of Royce.
