So I was gone on a snowboarding trip the last week and a bit and have been out of the loop.

Last I heard it was pretty much a forgone conclusion that Rampage was getting the title shot. So now he's fighting Jardine?

Does that mean the winner of Machida vs. Silva gets the title shot? I'm fine with Machida getting the shot after a win but I don't think Thiago is quite ready, even after a win here.

Or, is the UFC giving the shot to winner of Rampage vs Jardine? Even though it would be a long layoff, I guess that would make sense for Rampage. However, would Jardine deserve, or even take, a shot at the title after this win.

Too many scenario's for my brain to handle right now. What if Thiago and Jardine both win, who gets the next shot? What if Machida and Rampage both win, is there time for them to BOTH get shots or will it only be one of them. Did Rashad ask for a break? Is that why this Jardine vs Rampage fight came out of left-field.

well we have Jardine vs Rampage Chuck vs Shogun Lyoto vs Thiago

Imo if Machida wins his fight then he gets the next shot. If Thiago wins then I think he will have one more fight before a shot

If Thiago wins and Rampage wins I think 'Page' gets the shot. If Keith wins then he (imo) will not fight Rashad because they train together. (they might but i dont think they would).

So if all that happens and T. Silva and Jardine both win then I think it might go to Chuck vs Shogun winner or they just give it to Silva if Rashad doesnt want to take time off.

But I think if Lyoto wins then he gets it. If he losses and Page wins then Page gets its and then so on like I wrote above. Thats just my opinion I hope it might clear some things up for you.
