Do you think BJ would retire?

Honestly, I think you could see BJ leave the scene for a long time if not retire if he loses his title at 155.

BJ has already said he wanted to cut back the amount he fights to have more time with his daughter. If he chalks up a lose at 155, I wouldn't be shocked to see him walk away from the UFC again.

I'll hope & pray that doesn't happen. I still love to watch Penn at 155.

I dont see how he can cut back from fighting anymore than he already before GSP BJ fought Sherk on 05/24/2008 thats almost been a year. But I agree he'll probly walk away after he loses his belt

Honestly I don't think the Florian fight will happen, I can see Penn taking an extended lay off.

i think the bj/florian fight will happen in june/july. Thats 6 months off right there.

Personally i think a champ should be ready and willing to fight every 3 months or so.

I can see BJ taking the extended lay off as well.

It will be interesting to see how he comes back from his loss. I'm hoping we see him again in the next few months against Florian; who knows what will happen.

If you think about it Kenny is the only real interesting fight left for BJ in his division. If hes not changing weight classes hell I dont see the point either.

It will be very interesting to hear what BJ is going through after the loss to GSP. He may just come to the conclusion that he is done with other weight classes, and just focus on retaining his LW title for as long as he can - I think that would be the best and most positive conclusion he can come to.

If he were to lose to KenFlo, I would not be surprised at all to see him completely lose his motivation.

I partly agree, but there's Diego now too, and by the time those two fights happen somebody else will rack up some good wins and be in line for a shot, maybe Tyson or Maynard. Hell if Edgar managed to beat sherk and then win another couple fights i'd say he'd be a very legit challenger, and if Sherk wins his next few fights I think in a rematch if he went with a different gameplan it would be a much different fight.

So, while it seems Kenflo is the only interesting fight for him left at the moment, it'll change

No. I don't see him retiring.

But then again, I don't see Florian beating him.
